Tir Chonaill Gaels are very much a family club and this shows with the Underage teams that are competing on a regular basis within London and Britain. The club participate at U10, U12, U14, U16 and Minor levels with many players representing London and who are now making strides onto the present senior team.
With the help of so many people and support of all the parents the Gaels under age future is very much secure. James McFadden, Paddy Burke, Michael McGlynn, Danny Tully, Cathal Gallagher, Denis O’Mahony and Declan Flanagan are just some of the many people the club would like to thank, also many thanks to Pat & Pam McGovern who have put many miles on the clock supporting the many teams, Along with a new batch of managers including Phillip Butler, Michael Cunningham, Noel Geraghty & Rick Williamson the underage teams are going from strength to strength.
Over recent years the club have held an annual tournament in memory of Peter McGlynn, son of Michael & Margaret McGlynn who was tragically killed over 10 years ago. It is an U12 tournament which has always been successful with teams from right across London and sometimes Britain competing.
Andy Duffy RIP was also a main part of the underage scene at the Gaels and his vision for running an annual summer camp has been proved to be a huge success with over 80 children taking part each summer. The minor board would like to thank Andy’s family for their continued support of the Gaels Minor Board.
The Gaels Minor Board also have in place a very well run social/ fundraising committee who throughout the year help with raising funds and organising many fun events for the children.
