TCG’s Seniors do the double
In Greenford on Sunday 01/11/09 in blustery conditions the Gaels senior team added to the championship trophy by winning the league title with a hard fought victory against a very dogged well organised Tara’s team. Playing down the hill with a strong wind to their backs in the 1st half the Gaels wasted a lot of possession and missed a goal chance and had a slender lead at half time 0-4- to 0-1. The Tara’s had the Gaels under pressure right from the start of the 2nd have but 2 well worked points taken by Declan Alcorn was enough to get the lads over the finishing line with the final score line of 0-7 to 0-5. It was a good solid team performance from all the lads. Well done also to the management team of Paul, Maurice and Brian.
Training for the All Ireland quarter final starts on Thursday 05/11 evening in Greenford and all players are asked to be on the pitch for 7.45pm.
