| London's Johnny Hughes | 18 February 2010
London and Tir Chonaill Gaels footballers have been dealt a further setback with the news that Down native Johnny Hughes is expected to return home in the coming weeks. Hughes has been one of London's most consistent performers in recent years and played well in the recent defeat to Waterford, but he has found work at home and selector Noel Dunning admits that he will be a massive loss.
"It looks like we're going to be losing him," said Dunning. He's got a job offer back home that I think he's going to take. He'll be a huge loss.
"It's nothing new to London though. We just have to pick ourselves up and move on. It's frustrating when your trying to build something and someone so central to it gets ripped out.
