| Killybegs took possession of the Duffy Cup, having dominated the encounter played as a curtain-raiser to the Donegal-Leitrim game at Eamonn Byrne Memorial Park.
They were on top from the start, dominating in most areas of the field and led by 0-5 to 0-4 at the break, thanks to some great points from Kevin Martin (3) and one each from Pauric Gallagher and Ciaran Tully. Indeed it could have been better had corner back Kevin McFadden denied Martin with a goalline clearance midway through the first half.
Early in the second half Jason Noctor, Kevin Martin and Charles Tully put Killybegs in the driving seat with Damien Houston getting the only score for the visitors in the second half on 37 minutes. The Kevin Martin came from the penalty spot after Ryan McNelis was fouled off the ball but Martin's effort was never low enough for goal.
Then Killybegs took control with Ronan Boyle denied by a great save by Lee Boyle in the Tir Chonaill Gaels' goal but in the final quarter Ciaran Tully was very impressive for the winners as they added five more points and Tully also had a goal disallowed.
